The Benny & Richie Show - Ep 274

Between 2010 and 2012 I was engaged by Clockwork Films, and Man Bites Hotdog to help create The Benny & Ritchie Show, a gaming themed streaming show presented by Telstra BigPond Game Arena, in the relatively early days of on-demand streaming content.

It was truly a delightful experience to work with the show's two dynamic hosts, and the show's Shooter-Producer James Ellis. I was required to assist on set, and eventually became the chief field producer in later episodes, and during the transition to becoming Jetpack Nation under Ben McKelvey.

Each fortnight I was entrusted with the largely unsupervised editing of two 15 minute episodes, including creating all motion graphics and animation, and a complete sound edit and colour grade for what at the time was one of only two well known gaming content shows in Australia.

I thoroughly enjoyed working on this show and in this trial by being dumped in the deep-end, I learned an enormous amount about how to tackle the process of editing longer form content, much of which I still use today.
