Explainer: Style It, Share It, Sell It

This piece was the first in a line of explainers created for eBay and PayPal.

The brief was to create something handmade looking, in line with existing videos they had already commissioned. Given the budget and time allotment, I wanted to keep things simple and achievable so I decided to keep the character design simple. They would have no legs (so no walk cycles required) and no faces (no facial rigs required). This meant that the bodies, heads and arms were all I needed to focus on - a creative limitation which didn’t stop me from injecting plenty of personality into the characters.

I storyboarded this for client, tweaked the script in concert with the client and directed the voice talent in this piece, resulting in an animation that is dynamic and pitch perfect for the target audience, with a clear and concise flow of information.
